Sofie Blahútová studies at Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín in the fashion design studio. In her work she focuses on exploring personal approach to clothing design using experimentation as a natural part of the process. She is interested in silhouette construction, working with volume and consciously manipulating clothing as a means of finding her own recognizable visual language. She finds inspiration in her immediate surroundings, emotions and interpersonal relationships. She transforms these stimuli into concrete designs through structure, detail, symbolism and literary references. Her clothing is not only a functional object but also a medium of communication and a way to convey an idea, atmosphere and inner state. An important part of her work is the creation of the material itself. She focuses on handcraft techniques, experiments with printing and alteres existing textiles to give them new character and depth. This process allows her to combine her creative ingenuity with craftsmanship precision, creating garments that bear her personal signature. She sees fashion as a space for research and authentic self-expression where every detail has its meaning and significance.
