This year’s spring edition of Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week (MBPFW) registered a record number of international fashion professionals. The international dimension of the showcase is one of its main goals, which is being met particularly due to the worldwide prestige of Mercedes-Benz fashion events and the attractive programme of the local version. New collections of Czech and Slovak designers were presented to fashion editors, photographers, buyers, and professionals from traditional fashion Meccas – France, Italy, Great Britain, as well as from Germany, Austria, Denmark, Hungary, Finland, Israel, Poland, the United States, or Australia. The guests included modelling stars – Czech super model Karolína Kurková, Polish top model Magdalena Frackowiak, and Slovak model Filip Hrivňák.
The March Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week edition (MBPFW) presents besides other things the first ever high dressmaking catwalk show, so called haute couture, in the Czech Republic. It is going to be held during the second exclusive evening benefit organized by MBPFW and Proč ne?!, the Hospodářské noviny supplement, for Tereza Maxová Foundation on 18th March 2017 and it is going to present the spring collection of Italian fashion designer Francesco Scognamiglio.
The upcoming MBPFW S/S17 will return to the centre of Prague. This time, the department store Kotva's loading underground garage will turn into the so-called „Fashion Temple“, which will host the shows of the Czech fashion elite. Martina Špetlová, Petra Ptáčková and Klára Nademlýnská will make a comeback on the fashion week's runway and Jakub Polanka, CHATTY and LaFormela will also present their collections within MBPFW yet again. The money will buy scholarships for disadvantaged children.
The upcoming edition of Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week (MBPFW), the biggest fashion event in Czech republic, will bring two new formats that will substantially support the professional and business focus of the event – a professional international conference and official showroom. The partners of the Business Forward Forum are ČEZ Group and magazine Forbes that took on patronage of one of the panels. Special thanks belongs to hotel Emblem in Platnerska street that will – as in the previous editions – take care of the accommodation and comfort of all the esteemed speakers of the conference.
